We have over 450 full-time professional employees situated in 23 offices across Canada. We also have a global presence in various locations, including India, Afghanistan, Cyprus, and Latin America. SUMMARY: The Regional Manager is responsible for multiple offices in a region and meeting monthly targets in his/her region. His/Her responsibility also includes assisting the sales/marketing team to drive sales for the region and may include joining local committees in the communities. The Regional Manager is the primary point of contact between the client and the investigator on each file that he or she is responsible for. They work closely with their investigators and act as a mentor to those they supervise. The Regional Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the client receives a detailed and accurate report in a timely fashion and within the budget limitations and ensuring that quality in our work remains paramount. Responsibilities: The Regional Manager's role will include, but is not limited to: - Act as a mentor; provide employees with coaching, support, feedback, disciplinary action, performance assessments, etc. Provide direction and guidance to their investigators - Take responsibility for the overall quality and handling of a file - Ensure that budgets are adhered to on each file, time service requirements are met, ensure that there are useful results on each file they supervise and that notes are obtained from their investigators and placed into the file - Coordinate scheduling on files that may require multi investigators - Assist in marketing efforts when requested by senior management (tradeshows, client lunches, etc.) - Maintain their own personal case load - Required to cascade information to their staff from senior management - Assist in reaching monthly targets by ensuring invoicing is completed by month end - Receive new assignments by phone, email, fax, courier - Assign files to their staff based on priority of assignment, complexity of the assignment and ensure that the files are handled by the investigator with the proper skill set - Advise senior management of any 'no result' files before reports are sent to clients and discuss suggestions for further handling - Review invoice/billing system for all files that can be billed at month end - Score each file as part of our quality program - Send monthly scores to their staff and identify areas of weakness - Work with investigators at improving low scores to meet required criteria, discuss 'no result' files with their investigators - Closely review all reports and make necessary corrections, changes, ensure proper formatting, etc. - Ensure that video has been duplicated and ready to be sent out to client with report - Sign off on each file indicating that notes have been received from the investigator - Participate in regular Manager meetings/conference calls - Invoice all files to ensure that all charges are captured and budgets are not exceeded - Remain in contact with the investigator during the course of a file by receiving updates - Completing/approving payroll and expenses for their investigators - Ensuring that equipment used by investigator is up to our standards Skills Required: - Goal-oriented to achieve targets through self-motivation, persistence and determination. - - Analytic and reasoning skills for the conduct of special investigations (involving insurance claims); - Assessing and interpreting evidence, maintaining the integrity of an investigative file, evaluating investigative results; determining cause; analysing circumstances and making recommendations to managers; - Evaluative skills to identify and assess trends and patterns requiring further investigation; - Communication skills to explain and discuss interpretations of evidence, related legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines, theories relative to the investigation and use of appropriate judgment in communicating confidential and sensitive information; - Demonstrated experience in investigations, customer service, sales, computer use, professional writing, organization and communication. Qualifications Required: - Post-secondary degree or diploma in related discipline - 5+ years of field experience as an investigator - 2+ years Direct experience in managing sites and site staff required Other Requirements: - Must be willing to travel between sites and to Central Head Office. Some overnight stays may be required. - Knowledge of privacy laws, criminal code and a network of contacts in the legal, corporate, enforcement and insurance arenas are an asset. - Professional association affiliation including but not limited to the provincial private investigators association are of benefit.
